Faces of HireSmart — Meet Airra 

At HireSmart, a lot of the work happens because of people you rarely see. Our “Faces of HireSmart” series is our way of putting them front and center. Today we focus on Airra, a Virtual Admin Lead who supports her client’s whole team of Virtual Assistants. She keeps things aligned and catches the questions before they ever reach the client. Here’s our conversation with her. 

1. What’s a task or project you’re especially proud of completing? 
I’m proud to be the Virtual Admin Lead for my client’s team of VAAs. I get to support and guide the team, help them with their admin tasks, and make sure everything runs smoothly. 
 
2. How do you organize your workday to stay on top of everything? 
When I’m assigned a task, I first gather all the necessary information and create a clear plan with goals and priorities. I organize my tasks based on urgency and deadlines to stay on track. Throughout the project, I stay in touch with the right people and ask questions as needed to ensure I’m aligned with the manager’s expectations. 
 
3. What does “going above and beyond” look like in your role? 
For me, going above and beyond means taking initiative, getting things done ahead of time, and always looking for ways to make my client’s day a little easier. 
 
4. What’s one way you’ve helped make your client’s life easier? 
I help my fellow Virtual Admins with their questions and tasks so they don’t have to ask our client every time. It saves our client time and keeps things running smoothly. 
 
5. What’s one HireSmart benefit that has made a real difference in your life? 
The opportunity to work as a Virtual Assistant has made a huge difference in my life, both financially and mentally. 
 
6. What’s something your family has said about your work with HireSmart? 
They’re proud of me and happy to see how my career has allowed me to support both them and myself better. 
 
7. What Filipino food could you eat every single day? 
Lumpia! 
 
8. What’s a hobby or interest most of your co-workers probably don’t know you have? 
I don’t think my co-workers know that I’m really into makeup and perfumes! I love collecting them and trying out new products whenever I can. 
 
9. How do you handle failure or setbacks? 
I try not to let setbacks get to me. I stay focused on what I need to do and figure out the best way to move forward. If something doesn’t go as planned, I learn from it and keep going. Also, I’ve found that a healthy amount of stress helps me stay focused and get things done. 
 
10. Where do you see yourself professionally five years from now? 
I hope to still be with HireSmart, supporting the same client while continuing to grow my skills and taking on greater responsibilities.
